The Rose Garden

People are roses. Beautiful, eye-catching and breathtaking. But, they are also prickly with the ability to hurt. And like in all roses- this is the truth in all humans. No matter how pure or beautiful, our common nature contains a part of our soul that is dark. The only difference between us and roses in this aspect is that a rose cannot control what is touched- beauty or thorns. But we can decide what is shown- purity or darkness. We don't change the look of roses, we look and select the rose that captures our eye, but in people, we try to change them, to alter the defining traits of a person, but that, that is like replacing the petals and expecting growth. We accept roses as they are- broken petals, black spots and thorny stems. If people are roses, then accept them as they come, love them in their natural and pure form. Choose your rose, love the beauty from blossom to wither for after-all, its beauty has captured your soul through your eyes, far more than your senses had through your eyes.
